I came out to find Hannah asleep like this in the middle of the floor! Her poor little feet were purple! I got her to lay on her side and gave her a pillow and blanket and she fell back to sleep. This NEVER happens!A few hours later she came down with a fever of 102.4!! I should have know something was up

Pomp and Circumstance

Chad's graduation was on Friday. It was a busy, but great day!

We started the day by going to the temple with Chad's mom and sisters, who came to town for the graduation.
After the temple we came home and had yummy hamburgers on the grill.
Next on the agenda was the Radiologic Techology Pinning Ceremony. It was great to see all of Chad's classmates that he has been with for the past two years. They had a cute slideshow full of pictures from class and also of each person's family. We were all proud of Chad.

Last, but not least, was the College of Southern Idaho graduation. I don't know if you can see in the pictures, but all of the people in Chad's class had the Radiation Symbol on their caps. It really made them stand out! They were easy to spot. Hannah spent a lot of time coloring and walking back and forth from me to Grandma Hurd. The place was so packed that we had to split up. My sister and her husband were able to come to the graduation. We appreciated all of the love and support of our families!

We are so proud of you, Chad! Way to go!

The New Addition to Our Family

Most of you already know about this, but Chad was in a wreck a couple weeks back. An elderly lady pulled out in front of him and they crashed. Our poor little car was not in great shape.

After the insurance got a bid on the price to fix it...they decided our car was not worth it. So it (Darla) was towed away, which I got a little sad about. I had that car for 10 years. Lots of memories! Anyways, we needed to get a new vehicle. After some help from my parents we found a van! I know! A van! We were a little reluctant at first, but it is really nice. Hannah loves it! She affectionately named it "Princess Starla Layla." Chad and I call it "The Silver Bullet" or more often, "Da Ban." We have really been enjoying it. We love that the windows and the cd player work (something that was iffy in our car). Hannah loves the DVD player.
So we are now the proud owners and drivers of a minivan!

A Week of BIG Announcements

Announcement #1 (which is actually more than one, but they are all about Chad so I am combining them!)
Chad is graduating! He has earned an A.A.S. in Radiologic Sciences from The College of Southern Idaho! He is graduating with a 3.5 g.p.a and we are so proud of him!
Chad was accepted into the Radiation Therapy Program at Weber State University! How the program works is that he will do about 27 hours of clinical work a week at a hospital and then one weekend a month he go to Weber and do classes all day Friday and Saturday. His clinical site is the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. So we are moving to S.L.C.! We are not sure when the move will be, but as soon as he gets a job down there or his program starts, whichever comes first!
The last bit of news about Chad is that he has an interview for a x-ray technician job in Salt Lake. We are leaving this afternoon and his interview is tomorrow morning! Wish him luck!
We are so proud of Chad. He is a great father and husband. He has worked hard to graduate and do the things he needs to support our family! We are so glad he is graduating and love him so much!!

The Girl Needs a Backyard

With the weather turning nicer, Hannah wants to spend more time outside. And because she has a generally lazy mom she is forced to play out on our little patio. So the girl needs a yard or a less lazy mom! I think that it may be some time before we have a fenced-in backyard, so I am going to have to bite the bullet and stop being lazy! Darn!

Our Easter in a Nutshell (Or Should I Say "Eggshell"

So I am aware that Easter was a month ago, but I wanted to get the pictures and memories on here. So it is mostly for me and my family but, of course, you can enjoy them too!!
Hannah had a party at her preschool. My parents (who were on a quick trip from their mission to fix a tooth problem) were able to attend. We were both very excited to see them. At the party they had an egg hunt outside in the playground and then came inside to color eggs. Hannah really had fun!
Saturday morning the Easter Bunny came to our house and left a present for Hannah. Pet Shops, pink sparkly bunny ears, and an egg full of stickers.
Next on the agenda was the town egg hunt. There were tons of kids and some very aggressive parents! Hannah and Kate got lots of eggs and were happy to see that they had plastic eggs with candy and not the hard-boiled ones from previous years. It was a little chilly, but the kids had fun!

After the egg hunt we headed over to my sister's house and found that the Easter Bunny had left eggs while we were gone. Hannah had fun finding the eggs and even found a little present of Peeps!

We finished out the day by dying eggs, with daddy (who had been at work all day). We colored a whopping 4 eggs! We just used the eggs that we had in the house and 2 cracked during boiling! We still had fun even with a few eggs! And, of course, Easter wouldn't be Easter without a ham (made by Chad, his first attempt and it was yummy!) and a pretty Easter dress for Sunday!

It was a great holiday!
