As Per Your Request

I have had several requests and hints (some more subtle than others) to see my ballooning belly! I have issues with pictures of myself in general so I tried to ignore the requests, but I decided since there are some people reading this blog (specifically those in far away countries) that will never see my belly in person, I would fold and post a couple pictures. I am due on Nov. 24th. We are hoping that the little lady will make her appearance before Thanksgiving! She is very active and loves to press on my ribs. We are very excted for her to come. Hannah is excited to be a big sister. I know she will be a big help! Well, there are the pictures! I hope you enjoy them!

Scarecrow Festival

After Hannah performed in the morning at the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point we were able to spend the day participating in free activities. I was happy because the cost to get in was pretty pricey, but since Hannah was performing we got in for free!

There were games to play...

A Train ride.....

A horse-pulled wagon ride...
A pony ride...
And tons of other fun things to do that I either didn't get a picture of (story time with witch) or Hannah didn't want anything to do with (bouncy houses and slides. I don't know what her deal is with those things, but she does not like them). It was a fun day! We stayed much longer than I thought we would and both of us were exhausted when we made it home!

Who Let The Ghosts Out?

Hannah's dance group preformed at the Scarecrow Festival on Saturday. They had three practices to learn the dance and I was surprised how well they did. Of course, it was a little chaotic, but Hannah knew the dance well!

Here is a little clip of the dance.

She looked so cute! Her favorite part was "they really blew it" and her scary pose at the end (shown below)!

We were able to spend the rest of the day doing other fun, free activities at the festival....check back tomorrow for those exciting pictures!

I Can't Believe I Finished the Whole Thing!

My kind mother-in-law purchased these cute wooden holiday (paint-it-yourself) decorations for me.......I am embarrassed to say about 4 years ago! It only took me 4 years to finally get them painted! I usually do not enjoy painting things, because I take FOREVER to do it and then I don't like the way they turn out. That probably had a lot to do with my prolonged procrastination! Well, this time was different! I really enjoyed painting them and I liked the way they turned out!
I even had a little helper. Hannah painted the little pumpkin in the picture below. It was fun. I don't know if I will become a crafter, but I think I will be more open to it!

Everything Taste Better on a Stick

During the summer Hannah participated in the summer reading program at the local library. She walked away from it with a new book and a handful of coupons. The other day I was looking through the stash and realized that it was the last day for the free cookie on a stick! We didn't want to miss out on that!

The cookie was huge! It was almost the size of Hannah's head, but that didn't stop her from downing it in 2 minutes! She loved it! I mean, who wouldn't love a huge sugar cookie on a stick?!?!

I Like to Move it, Move it!

Last week they had a Music and Movement class at the library. Hannah and her little friend were able to go and loved it.

They sang songs lots of fun songs and danced around the room. They were able to have fun with egg shakers,

scarves,

and the all-time favorite rhythm sticks.

Climb Every Mountain

Last Saturday Chad and his brother left early, early in the morning (long before the sun was up) to hike Lone Peak. It was a much tougher hike than they were anticipating. They had a really fun time, but because of injury and a low supply of food and water, they didn't make it to the top. Chad came home VERY dirty and VERY sore. Dispite those setbacks they saw some beautiful views and are already planning a repeat next year with some camping involved!

A Public Safety Announcement

A few weeks ago at Hannah's preschool they had Safety Week. They learned all about police and safety. They were even able to meet a real officer and look at his car. She keeps coming up with all of these great things that she learned. She told me today that if there is an emergency you call 9-1-1. Thank heavens for teachers, because I never told her that yet! She also let me know that, "Falling off your bike and getting a scratch is NOT an emergency!" Good to know! You know what else is good to know?!?!

This was supposed to be a video! It won't work! She is telling you what the lights on the stoplight say. Anyways if you want to hear it you will have to ask her about it in person.
