Hannah-Palooza

We had so much fun with family here that it has taken me a couple weeks to get back to normal!
We were lucky enough to have my mom and dad, Chad's mom, and my sister and two of her daughters.  Thanks so much for coming guys!
We did so many fun things while they were here.

Our first day we went to Luray Caverns.
It was pretty cool.  Like my sister said, "Once you've seen one cave, you've seen 'em all." but we still had a great time.  Our guide was an interesting character.  The girls all had fun and their cousins were so good to look out and care for Grace.  She loved the attention.  The way was paved so I was able to push the stroller through the whole thing!  Nice!

After the cavern we went to the ropes adventure and the garden maze.  It was very hot!  We decided that we should have switched and done the cavern tour when it was hot outside.  Mandy took the two older girls on the ropes course.  I was very proud of Hannah and how brave she was!  Grandma, Grandpa, and I took the three younger girls through the maze.  I was an interesting experience!  Grace was not a fan.  She was ready to be done after the second turn and would heave a big sigh after turning every corner.  It was hot and luckily my niece made a wish in the wishing well that we would find our way out or we might still be in there!

The next day we headed up to the Shenandoah National Forrest for a hike.  It was a really great hike.  The weather was perfect and we saw some cool things.  The way back was a little long and we were concerned that we were heading the wrong direction, but we made it!

The third day we went on a tour of Monticello.  The grounds were beautiful!

It was a neat experience, but I think the girls enjoyed the play area in the visitor center much more than the actual house tour!

That night we came back to the house and had a little party for Hannah.  We had cake and opened some presents.  She got earrings, a nail kit, a stuffed animal fox that she names Sugar, and a bike horn (which represented the bike we were going to let her pick out).  She was a pretty spoiled and happy girl!
