Playing Catch up: April 2012

On with the updates:

An April Fools Lunch: Grilled cheese sandwich (cinnamon toast with orange frosting), peas (airhead candy rolled into balls), fries and ketchup (cinnamon/sugar bread sticks with jam).
A trip to Idaho:  Visiting the Idaho Natural History Museum with dinosaurs (No! I am not talking about my parents!  Woka woka!)  Also notice my mom feeding Clara a bottle.  Right before this trip I discovered I was not producing enough milk and Clara was not gaining weight. The dr. recommended (threatened us with a feeding tube) that we supplement with formula.  Clara was NOT having it.  After several failed attempts I was ready to throw in the towel.  Luckily I was at my mom's house, because she finally got her to take the bottle!  Thank heavens for moms!)
Jumping on the trampoline, a definite favorite at Grandma Wade's house.
 Bowling with the Wade cousins.
It was Easter while in Idaho.  We were glad the Easter Bunny found us.  It was chilly and snowy out so the clever bunny hid the eggs in my dad's shop.
The Easter Bunny also made a stop at Grandma Hurd's house.  Lucky girls!
This little cute one makes my day!  She is so sweet!
Chad planted some flower seeds with the girls.  Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, stinker Grace dumped out the pots and the seeds a few days later.
A hike in a beautiful area near our house. Around this time we also found out that Chad was accepted to the PA program at James Madison University in Virginia!  We were so excited for him.  We wanted to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of Utah as much as we could before we moved clear across the country!

Playing Catch Up: March 2012

I have been wanting/needing to update for a REALLY long time, but when I realized it had been over 6 months I decided it was serious!  Here we are playing catch up!

Spirit week at school:  80's day (When Hannah asked me what they wore in the 80's I said, "Pretty much what is popular now!"  Who ever thought that 80's style would EVER be popular again?!?!), Hat day, Crazy hair day, and Cowboy day (Thanks Gma and Gpa Wade for the cowboy gear!)
Easter egg hunt at the community center.  Actually there were no actual eggs involved in the hunt.  Just a field full of candy!  Too bad it was 99% taffy, none of the good stuff!  The girls did not mind!
Another egg hunt at our apartment complex (and just so you know it was on the same day as the other hunt, so Hannah didn't actually wear her soccer shirt on multiple days!)  This time our cousins joined us.  It was really fun spending time with them.  Hannah and Kate worked together to get the eggs and even won a big prize.  Some how I didn't end up getting a picture of it.  It was a HUGE clear egg that had a stuffed bunny in it.  They split it by Hannah taking the bunny and Kate getting the egg.
While our cousins were visiting we also went to a paint your own pottery place.  Grace painted a turtle and Hannah chose and Easter egg.  After carefully painting the whole thing she accidentally dropped it while carrying it over to show me.  It shattered into a thousand pieces!  It was sad, but luckily the people at the shop were so nice and let her paint another one at no charge.  Hannah told me that she actually liked the way her second one turned out better anyway.  So I guess it all worked out for the best!

So that is March!
Next up: April

Getting Things in Line

Grace has a new fascination with putting things in lines. Several times a day I will find her lining some other group of things up. Her favorites to line up are shoes...

her magnet alphabet...

and books! She looks pretty proud of herself, no?

Now if only she would develop a fascination for cleaning them up!

One Thing I Forgot

I forgot to post this video with our St. Patrick's Day festivities. Hannah's class had a Leprechaun Parade at school. They marched through halls singing this song. Hannah said it was kind of embarrassing! I just think it is cute!

Sisters

I loved these pictures of my two littlest girls with their jeans and pink shirts. This is one of the rare times that Grace actually wanted to hold Clara. Most of the time Grace is too busy being Grace to be bothered by Clara! I am so interested to see what their relationship is going to be as they grow up. My two sisters are a few years older than me and now that we are all older, they are my best friends. I am hoping they will be able to be buddies as they are growing up. Sisters are the best!

Just Kickin' It

Hannah has been playing indoor soccer. It has been fun to see her out there trying. I don't know if soccer is her sport, but I am glad she is trying something new! And she also looks super cute in her soccer shirt!

Seeing Green

On St. Patrick's Day we were visited by a leprechaun! Hannah was so happy to see that there are girl leprechauns (she had been asking me all week if there were girl and boy leprechauns). She was a nice leprechaun and left some of her chocolate gold coins for us, but we had to go on a shamrock clue hunt to find them. Hannah was very, very excited! Grace had no idea what was going on, but she liked the chocolate in the end!

The tricky visitor also turned some of our dinner green and Chad brought home super yummy shamrock shaped sugar cookies for our dessert.

A gross little side note: Grace was bouncing around like a wild maniac and puked just a little...yeah, it was green! Haha! That is the only color to puke on St. Paddy's Day right?!? Told ya it was gross.
