Our Weekend Adventure

A long time ago (about a month) we got together with my family for a fun weekend. The fun began by attending the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was a beautiful temple. My favorite part was seeing all of the little cousins together holding hands. Hannah still talks about it every time we see a temple, "member the time when we went to the temple and all of my cousins were there, except not all of them?"

The next stop on our adventure was a local farm. They have tons of animals and different activities you could do. The kids loved to run around chasing the ducks and geese. Along with all of the cool animals we saw we also saw some the grossed me out (notice the picture on the top row second column)!Hannah's favorite was milking the cow.

A VERY funny (probably because it didn't happen to me) thing happened while the kids were milking the cows. If you don't know you can get the whole story here. Even if you do know, trust me the pictures are still funny even now!

We top off the weekend by going to Lagoon. I hadn't been since my senior year of high school and Chad and Hannah had never been. It was a fun day. It was different for Chad and I. It was different for Chad because he is used to running from one big ride to the next, when at an amusement park. It was different for me because, being pregnant, I couldn't go on very many rides. My day mostly consisted of sitting in the shade, keeping track of the little kids, and watching everyone else on the rides. Although it was a different experience, we all really had fun. Hannah tells me almost everyday, "Uh, mom?! Today is the day I want to go back to Lagoon." If only it were that easy!

We had a great weekend with our family. Any time we can get together it is fun!

Bridal Veil Falls

When we first moved to Utah, I heard a lot about a big beautiful waterfall called Bridal Veil Falls. We wanted to see what all the talk was about so we made a trip up there. It was worth the trip. It was beautiful and fun to see. There were some people that were hiking up to the top of the falls. We decided that we would have to try that some other time (when Hannah was bigger and I wasn't carrying precious cargo in my belly!!).
Hannah's favorite part was a little wading pool at the bottom of the falls. I was surprised by how long she wanted to stay in it. The rocks didn't seem to hurt her feet too bad. I was tempted to take off my shoes and socks and walk in myself, but then I saw some adults limping on the rocks and I quickly changed my mind! I am a baby, know!

4th of July Fun

I know that 4th of July has long past, but I wanted get these pictures on here for memories and for my parents! Also another reason for the old post....our camera broke! It is broke broke! Hannah was taking some beautiful pictures (will be displayed on another post) and accidentally dropped the camera. Now it won't turn on for more than 5 seconds and the screen has a black haze around the edges...not good! My sister Mandy informed me a few weeks ago that my camera wasn't very good anyways, so maybe it was good it broke! Anyways, I have some pictures that I need to post and catch up on, so you will get to see those. And hopefully by the time I run out of those we will figure out what to do about a camera. Any suggestions?
We started out our July 4th by getting ready to go to a parade. This is Hannah's hairdo. It is supposed to look like a star. I added the shiny pipe cleaners at the ends. We decided it looked like fireworks.

This is her festive garb. I know the picture is blurry, but I had to put it in so that I could document. This picture was taken minutes before she puked all over the parking lot. Nice. We thought maybe it was a one-time fluke puke, so we loaded up and drove over to the parade. Once we got there and, luckily, we were out of the car. Hannah tossed her cookies again. We decided we had better go home. Hannah was so sad (so was I for that matter)! She kept saying the whole ride home, "But I love the parade!" Well, we got home and laid out a blanket and a big bowl, put on a movie, and thought that our celebration had ended before it even began!

Well, cut to a several hours later and Hannah is fine. She didn't throw-up anymore, was eating food, and was acting like her normal self. We decided to attempt to go to the fair at a near by park.

She played some games.Won some prizes. This is a pink stretchy lizard that she choose, instead of a pink necklace (which surprised me) and has been carrying it around since. And we couldn't leave the park without a little face painting. We finished the night at Chad's brother's house. We had some yummy ribs for dinner and lit off a few little fireworks for the kids. As you can tell in the pictures it is still light outside, but the kids (and me) were exhausted and need to get to bed. So even though it started out a little questionable the day ended up being a fun day!

It is a......

GIRL!!!!!
Chad was a little sad at first. He was hoping for a little guy, but he is happy to have another girl to love in his life. He is definitely outnumbered!

Here is a picture of her cute little face! Oh I wish she could just come out now! When we called Hannah to tell her it was a girl she asked me, "Is she sleeping now?" She thought that the baby was coming out when I was at the doctor! If only it was that easy. Hannah is super excited. She keeps talking about all of the things she is going to teach her baby sister. I am excited to have another little girl to dress up! We are thinking of the name Grace Lyn Hurd. We are not 100% sure, but that is what we are thinking right now. Grace is my mom's middle name and Lyn is my dad's middle name, so she would be named after some great people!
