Last of the Summer Posts: I Think?!?!

One day at my mom's we all packed up and went to Rigby Lake. The kids had a blast and the adults about died in the heat! This was Grace's first time experiencing a lake. She loved it! She loved to splash in the water and eat the sand. Yummy!

Hannah was busy the whole time. She loved playing in the water and sand.

She and her cousin, Kate, spent the whole day building something special. I was impressed at how long and hard they worked on it. We were not allowed to look at it until it was completed.

TA-DA!!!

It was a fun day! After playing in the sun we got a sweet treat to help us cool off.

What a delicious way to end the day!

Back To School Banana Splits

As our little family is growing we are trying to establish traditions that we hope our kids will love and remember. Some of them are traditions carried on from our parents and some are things that we are trying out for the first time. This was a "first-timer" and it was a huge success. We will have Back to School Banana Splits every year after the first day of school. It was fun to make our own creations and to have time to sit and talk with Hannah all about her first day.

Hannah's first experience with aerosol whipped cream in the mouth! Funny!

A Great Getaway

On 24th of July weekend, the girls and I packed up and drove to visit my sister and her family. We had a great time and a fun-packed weekend. We had a picinic at a really fun park.
They treated us to some delicious ice cream. Love the glasses!

Angie and I realaxed in the shade while the kids had a blast in the pool (and Grace slept).

And we went to a parade and fair at the park.

It was definitely a great getaway! Thanks for everything Angie!

The 9 Month 411

Grace is just a funny little monkey! The smile above is the one she always gives now when the camera comes out! Cheesey! One day I went to check on her during her nap and she was sleeping with her little bum in the air. So cute. She loves her little piano. She just might become a musician. One day she fell asleep while I was holding her and I laid her down on the pillow. Hannah gave her that little lion to keep her company. Sleeping babies are so sweet. That pot is her favorite. I have to put it on back on the self at least 10 times a day.

Here are the stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 14oz 4%
Height: 27.95 inches 59%

She loves to eat! She gets so mad if anyone is eating and she is not! She is a screamer. Whether she is happy or sad, she screams. She is crawling and pulling herself up on furniture (videos to come). She claps on occasion (also a video). She thinks Hannah is hilarious! She is a funny baby and we love having her in our family!

FIRST DAY!!!

The day Hannah had been asking about and hoping for finally arrived on Monday, the first day of kindergarten! She was so excited! Honestly, I was pretty excited myself. We had a special dinner the night before, that Hannah picked...make your own pizzas. We even had some sparkling juice, left over from our dinner at The Melting Pot, that we drank in fancy glasses. Hannah thought it was great!

We had a special outfit picked out and her backpack waiting by the front door. We had planned on walking to the school, but there was a big storm so we had to drive. Because of the storm it was so hectic when I dropped her off, that I don't think either of us really thought about what was happening! There was no time to be nervous and no tears!

She had a great day and I loved hearing all about the new and exciting things she was doing! Kindergarten is going to be a learning experience for both of us!!
