As our little family is growing we are trying to establish traditions that we hope our kids will love and remember. Some of them are traditions carried on from our parents and some are things that we are trying out for the first time. This was a "first-timer" and it was a huge success. 
We will have Back to School Banana Splits every year after the first day of school. It was fun to make our own creations and to have time to sit and talk with Hannah all about her first day.

What a great idea...everyone loves ice cream...add a banana and it is extra special. What a fun tradition to start.
That sounds awesome. I now want to do that. Maybe I should go back to school just as an excuse to do it!
